Our friendship began at school, and ever since, our lives have been so full of parallels and serendipities that it could hardly be coincidence. When we both became mothers to lively boys at the same time, we knew the moment had come to turn our long-held business idea into reality. And so, shortly after our sons, banquet was born.
We had reconnected years earlier in Milan at the prestigious Marangoni School of Interior Design, where we discovered a shared eye for aesthetics, style, and spatial harmony. That training, paired with countless hours of creative exchange, became the foundation of our design philosophy.
Janina Hren-Brucker
For Janina, hosting has always been second nature. She was raised in a family of hoteliers and spent her youth in Zermatt, Gstaad, and Zurich. Her creativity was evident early on, so it was only natural that after commercial training, she studied Interior Design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
With professional experience in London, Amsterdam, and Zurich, Janina is also co-owner and managing director of the restaurant Lumière. Her creative energy and meticulous attention to detail infuse every banquet project.
Anne-Christine Weder
The eldest of four sisters, Anne-Christine grew up in a bustling, dynamic household. After completing her business diploma and spending time in New York, she began studying Business & Law in Zurich, later moving on to Interior Architecture at Istituto Marangoni in Milan.
Her career path took her through the fashion and event industries to working as an interior architect up until 2025, when banquet became her full-time focus. A lifelong devotee of movement and balance, Anne-Christine finds inspiration in yoga, travel, and cultural exploration.
